TGT PRS-1200M
Pressure Recover System

Startup Gas & Lighting Heater
  1. Slowly open valve on one (1) tube of the tube trailer to pressurize hose to Inlet #1
of PRS. Pressure gauge at Inlet #1 on Control Panel will read same pressure
      as tube trailer pressure.
  2. Slowly open Inlet #1 valve to pressurize tubing to PCV-104. Pressure on Inlet gauge
will read same pressure as Inlet #1 pressure. Inlet pressure can be read on upper
right hand gauge on Control Panel.
  3. Check for leaks.
  4. Slowly open all remaining tubes on tube trailer.
  5. Slowly open V-66 to provide start up gas supply to the brass start up gas regulator.
      See Figure 3.
  6. Open bypass needle valve around high temp control valve on startup gas line.
      See Figure 4.
  7. All pressure gauges in the fuel gas supply line and fuel gas scrubber should
indicate pressure. See Figure 5. PSI 15
  8. Purge gas through bottom of fuel gas scrubber for 5 to 10 seconds. See Figure 5.
  9. Pressure on pilot ignitor gauges should be evident. See Figure 6. PSI 15
10. Hold down left button on ignitor to feed gas into the burner for 1 to 2 seconds
and push right hand button simultaneously to ignite pilot. Continue to hold
down left button for 15 to 20 seconds to allow thermocouple to develop heat.
Release left button and all gauges should now show pressure on the pilot ignitor.
      See Figure 6.
11. Verify pilot is lit by looking inside the heater using the sight glass
on the end of the flame arrestor.
12. Close bypass needle valve on high temperature valve of startup gas line.
See Figure 4. You should be able to hear the pilot burner as well.
13. Open 1” main burner gas supply valve to allow full gas pressure to the heater.
      See Figure 6.
Heater should be in full heating mode. Look inside heater using the sight glass
and verify full flame in fire tube is present. NOTE: The heater may reverberate
for 3 to 5 mins until the smokestack is completely heated and all purged cool air
in the stack is replaced with warm air.
14. Depending on ambient temperature, the heater glycol bath will take
2 to 2.5 hours to heat to full temperature of 175F (80C).
15. Glycol bath operating temperature varies depending on gas flow rate
but generally range from 125F (50C) to 175F (80C). Bath temperature can be
adjusted using the temperature dial shown on Figure 4. The high
(maximum temp shutdown) temperature shutdown is set at 195F (90C)
and be adjusted using the temperature dial shown on Figure 4.
